My liberal interpretation of Samus Aran-X from Metroid Fusion. I really like her as an antagonist. I couldn't decide on whether I liked her in her Varia suit or if I wanted to give her a Gravity suit so here's an alternate version here. i.imgur.com/ziv16Ah.jpg
Looks great, i just feel like the ponytail wasn't necessary, i mean, why would a parasite inside a suit need one? I think it would make more sense if her head fused with the suit, like some weird mass of blob, but i loved what you did with the arms and legs, really reminds me a Metroid Prime boss
woah suit is shiny shiny. I love especially the, um. Green arm. ?? (gun?) derp. Anywho, that green metallic texture is painted super mega awesomely. and dat reflective lighting. So GOOOOOODDDDD. Shamush really does look creepy dere. Like old-lady shriveled mouth goin' awn. Oh lordy.
The X are parasites that infect an organism, kill it and become a doppelganger of them. The X infected Samus and her suit (which has organic components) but didn't manage to kill her. They did manage to become a copy of her while leaving her severely weakened. When you encounter it in the game you have to run the hell away from it because it's way stronger than the weakened Samus.
The floating Visor was really because it looked cool, but it also ties the design more to Samus I feel.
O_O...That is one freaky monster! Yes, I do consider the SA-X a monster; because its actually a X copy with DNA from its previous host and Samus. Other than me rambling on about it, this is a well detailed picture Keep it up!
This ones definatly better. haha. wow, never thought I'd see such a detailed and different fanart of SA-X. I also loved her in the game. She really made you feel weak, after all the games of samus just badassing her way through everything and ending every game as, what I like to call any character once theyve got all their possible upgrades, a 'godkiller'. Really refreshing to have her totally nerfed infront of SA-X. And kind of poetic that her greatest enemy was herself. I think this work captures that terror quiet well.
